Founder, The Autoimmune Network

American School Dhahran

Hi! I'm Manaal Khalid, a student at the American School Dhahran and the founder of The Autoimmune Network (AN). I created this platform in the summer of 2024 with a simple goal: to make autoimmune disease awareness more accessible, engaging, and empowering for everyone.

I've always been passionate about health, education, and advocacy, and I wanted to create a space where people could learn about autoimmune diseases in a way that feels informative, supportive, and approachable. Whether you're a patient, family member, student, or simply curious to learn more, I hope AN helps you feel informed and inspired.

One area especially close to my heart is women's health. Since autoimmune diseases affect women at significantly higher rates, I am passionate about raising awareness of the unique challenges women face and helping them feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healthcare journeys.

AN is more than just a website—it's a growing community built on curiosity, compassion, and the belief that knowledge can make a difference. Thank you for being here, and I hope you enjoy exploring everything this platform has to offer!
